Who builds FilingIQ
FilingIQ is a two-person operation by design. Niklas owns the scoring research and methodology; Thomas owns the engineering and infrastructure. Every model decision is documented, every score traces back to a published formula, and every data source is linked from the page it appears on.
Niklas Feldmann
Co-founder & Head of Research, FilingIQ
Niklas spent years tracking insider trades manually across SEC EDGAR, OpenInsider, and Capitol Trades before FilingIQ existed. He's the reason the platform exists: he had the idea, he brought the domain knowledge, and he invented the scoring model that turns raw SEC filings into ranked signals.
Credentials
- Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®)Corporate Finance Institute, February 11, 2026
Responsibilities
- Originated the FilingIQ product idea after years of manual insider-trade research
- Inventor of FilingIQ's multi-factor scoring model for Form 4 insider transactions
- Designer of the institutional flow signal for 13F accumulation patterns
- Designer of the congressional trade signal for STOCK Act disclosures
- Empirical validation of every FilingIQ model against the full historical Form 4 corpus (3.4M+ transactions across 1.9M+ filings)
Thomas Kraaibeek
Co-founder & Head of Engineering, FilingIQ
Thomas is the technical mind that turned Niklas's manual workflow into a platform. He owns every line of the stack: the SEC EDGAR ingestion pipeline, the API, the web and mobile apps, the scoring infrastructure that operationalizes Niklas's models, and the deploy pipeline that ships it all.
Responsibilities
- Built and operates the full ingestion pipeline (Form 4, Form 13F, House + Senate disclosures)
- Operationalized Niklas's scoring research into the FilingIQ scoring service
- Owner of the API, web app, mobile app, and the nightly enrichment pipeline
- Maintains the production deploy, monitoring, and data-quality tooling
Editorial standards
- Primary sources only. Filings come directly from SEC EDGAR (Form 4, Form 13F) and the official congressional disclosure portals (House Office of the Clerk, Senate eFD). We do not resell third-party feeds.
- Methodology is published. Every score on the platform, including the Composite Score, Institutional Flow Score, and Congressional Political Score, has a documented formula, version history, and backtested validation behind it.
- No paid placements. Tickers, insiders, politicians, and funds are not ranked by ad spend. We never accept paid promotion of specific issuers.
- Not financial advice. FilingIQ surfaces and scores public regulatory filings for research purposes. Nothing on the platform constitutes investment, legal, or tax advice.
